Community Sports Day at Marie Reed Elementary School
October 20th – 9AM to 1PM
Do you have any young athletes in your life? Join us this Saturday for a community sports day to celebrate the Special Olympics. In collaboration with Marie Reed Community Learning Center, DC Scores, DC Fray, and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in DC, District Sports is proud to help put on this free, public event.
The event is an awesome opportunity for local children and families an to get active, engage with Special Olympics athletes, and learn a bit about Emirati culture. Sideline activities to include henna artists, samples of traditional Emirati sweets, and a photo booth featuring iconic images from the UAE. DC United’s mascot, Talon, will be on hand for photos with participants.
