Join our friends from the Federal Triangles Soccer Club, DC’s largest LGBTQ+ soccer organization, for the 2021 Pride Cup on August 28th at Brentwood-Hamilton Field!
This unique soccer tournament is for players of all skill levels who want to celebrate LGBTQ+ contributions to and participation in the DC soccer community. You don’t have to identify as LGBTQ+ to play… anyone and everyone is welcome to participate!
Money raised by this event will go towards need-based team scholarships for the International Gay and Lesbian Football Association (IGFLA) World Championship XXIV, which will be hosted in Washington, D.C. in June 2022.
How the Pride Cup 2021 Works
1. Sign Up Here!
No need to create your own team. Everyone signs up as an individual. You’ll be placed on a mini-team of 5-6 players by tournament organizers.
2. Game On!
During each round of play, your mini-team of 5-6 players will be combined with another mini-team, creating a full 7v7 squad. You’ll face off against another combo-team in a short match!
3. Take the Cup!
Over the course of the day, your mini-team will play with all the other mini-teams in the tournament. The mini-team of 5-6 with the best overall record on the day will be crowned tournament champions!
4. Party at Audi Field!
The celebration continues after the tournament with United Night Out, DC United’s annual Pride Night at Audi Field.
Click here to purchase $30 tickets to UNITED NIGHT OUT — DC United vs Philadelphia Union. The first 250 tickets purchased through FTSC come with a commemorative United Night Out pride scarf!
